Animals on The Brink of Extinction: Together we can save them!
Take action and think critically about real-world issues that impact endangered wildlife species across the globe including the Golden Lion Tamarin, the Panamanian Golden Frog, Fruit Bats (flying foxes), and the Guam Kingfisher. Work side by side with experienced Zoo educators and enjoy up-close and personal wildlife encounters with live animals at camp. Help safeguard animals that are on the brink of extinction from the effects of climate change, deforestation and disease by forming advocacy teams and developing community action plans and learn how your everyday actions can help ensure their survival. Highlights include an overnight at The Philadelphia Zoo, a meet and greet with a keeper, Google Hangout sessions with conservation experts and more! Present your final advocacy campaign to family, friends and Zoo representatives on the last day!
A Major Camp Specialist/Teacher teaches a minimum of 1 class but may also be considered to teach various programs at 1 or more locations.
