  • Position Summary

    Co-op participants will rotate responsibilities throughout the duration of the program in order to receive a full, well-rounded business operations experience. Length of time spent in each discipline will be determined by the needs of the business. Each rotation will include training.

    • This is a 6 month (September 2018 through March 2019) paid co-op opportunity.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    Sales/Customer Engagement:


    • Promote ESF Summer Camps, Phillies Baseball Academy, Union Soccer Schools and Eagles Football Academy to prospective and alumni families over the phone, via email and in-person.
    • Increase sales revenue by implementing marketing efforts and providing excellent customer service.
    • Interface with prospective camp families, answer questions as a credible resource, promote additional program offerings and facilitate enrollment.
    • Interact with returning and enrolled camp families to assist them with re-enrolling and preparing for camp.
    • Make outbound calls to alumni families to sell camp and acquire new business.
    • Participate in the development and execution of promotional campaigns to area feeder schools, leagues, corporations and other community organizations.
    • Help prepare for and attend promotional events including tours, open houses, camp fairs and orientations.
    • Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Talent Acquisition.

    Marketing & Communications:


    • Help ensure that ESF is portrayed as the most exciting and innovative summer program provider within our diverse population.
    • Collaborate, cross-functionally, with various teams to deliver high-quality communications and digital assets.
    • Communicate with current and prospective camp families, promote in-summer sales and build a library of digital assets for year-round marketing efforts.
    • Assist Marketing team in capturing and editing high-quality photos and videos of camp highlights to use in blogs, social media, newsletters, digital albums and the summer memories slide show.
    • Catalog photos for efficient coordination of the multi-media slide show as well as public online albums for camper parents to view using Flickr and/or DropBox.
    • Follow guidelines for organizational framework for tagging and repurposing assets for optimization for social media, YouTube, blog posts, website, newsletters, etc.
    • Help develop numerous communication pieces including weekly blog posts across all camps.
    • Provide frequent updates to management on the progress of ongoing projects.
    • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss best practices and opportunities for improvement.


    Operations & Logistics:

    • Assist in managing inventory supplies across all sites.
    • Partner with vendors to replenish camp supplies as needed.
    • Check and verify customer invoices and update database accordingly.
    • Process, package and ship orders accurately.
    • Accurately identify and count stock materials.
    • Organize stocks and inspect products for defects and damages. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
    • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately (on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas) in an orderly manner.
    • Organize warehouse space to ensure safety and efficiency.
    • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
    • Distribute camp signs and stage supplies for select camp events.
    • Pack and drive ESF trucks for events before and during camp.

    Experience Requirements


    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly developed time management skills and able to complete tasks within deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as you will work with multiple team members on site as well at ESF Headquarters.
    • The ability to be flexible and handle unpredictable situations with ease.
    • Attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
    • Flexible, reliable and pro-active.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Education Requirements

    • Must be an undergraduate student at Drexel University with an interest in business operations, sales and marketing.

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

    • This position requires considerable time at a computer work station.
    • Some local travel and occasional distance travel to events, camp sites and ESF office locations.
