  • Position Summary

    The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for the high-volume sourcing and recruiting of seasonal team members (Teachers, Counselors, Coaches, Lifeguards/Swim Instructors, Nurses, Leadership, etc.) to work at fifteen (15) day camps and after-school programs throughout PA, NJ, NY, CT & MD.

    Position Objective/Purpose

    We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization’s mission and who display strong organizational skills and a keen eye for talent. This individual is responsible for implementing ESF’s high volume sourcing and recruitment processes in order to help staff our summer camps and year-round aftercare and enrichment programs. The Recruiter must be capable of building positive relationships with candidates, schools and organizations in order develop a robust pipeline of educator candidates. The Recruiter must complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining the professional standards of ESF.

    Position Scope Factors

    The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is employed on a year-round basis and fulfills full lifecycle recruitment responsibilities in addition to on-boarding seasonal hires for ESF Camps and Programs.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Strategically source, recruit and on-board seasonal team members (Teachers, Counselors, Coaches, Lifeguards/Swim Instructors, Nurses, Leadership, etc.) to work at fifteen (15) day camps and year-round after-school programs for children ages 3 to 15 in PA, NJ, NY, CT & MD.
    • Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to recruit and retain top talent.
    • Leverage social media platforms ((LinkedIn, Indeed, Twitter, etc.) to recruit and retain top talent.
    • Implement strategic recruitment plan to ensure adequate staffing across all sites.
    • Manage recruitment timeline in order to be “camp ready” for opening day
    • Conduct background checks and reference checks for new hires.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges/universities to attract future educators for seasonal positions.
    • Partner with elementary, middle and high schools and third party organizations to recruit applicants.
    • Share ESF job opportunities with students and teachers through referrals, online postings, information tables and in-class presentations.
    • Represent ESF at recruiting and networking events (occasional nights and weekends).
    • Utilize applicant tracking system to manage applicant’s workflows and new hire paperwork.
    • Run metrics reports and key word searches in applicant tracking system.
    • Work closely with internal departments (Finance, Marketing, Admissions, Customer Engagement and Operations), Site Directors and third party vendors.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum four (4) years of experience performing full lifecycle recruiting (preferably high-volume).
    • Prior experience recruiting for a service or education-focused organization is preferred.
    • Previous experience recruiting candidates using social media.
    • Applicant tracking experience required (knowledge of iCIMS is a plus).
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and networking skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or concentration in Human Resources, Education or a related concentration preferred.                                                                                                                             

    Reporting Relationships

    • Reports directly to the Recruiting Director and also takes direction from the Chief Talent Officer and Regional Directors.

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

    • Year-round position.
    • Minimum 40 hours per week during non-peak season; minimum 45-50 hours per week during peak season.
    • Requires extended periods of time at a computer work station.
    • Some occasional distance travel required, especially to ESF camp sites and recruiting events.
